<3 I heart my cousies!! <3

When Aunty Pauline passed away, many of my aunties and uncles came back from all around the world to attend her funeral. My cousins, Swee Lee and Finn came back with their parents Aunty Lily and Uncle Declan and stayed in Melaka for 3 weeks. They went to Johor Bahru, Singapore and Kuantan too. I havent seen them for almost 4 years well cuz they're living in the UK. So, it was so AWESOME because I got to see them.

Well, Swee Lee looked different cuz she dyed or should I say streaked her hair blonde. She looked like one of those actresses from Hairspray and she certainly looks a bit like Aunty Pauline. Finn on the other hand grew so much and he's just 11! Bet, when he reaches 16, he'll be taller than me. LOL!

The first 2 weeks I didnt get to see much of them, but when the holidays came, practically everyday I saw them. Swee Lee has been sending my brother and I presents by passing them to my uncles who always come down to Melaka. She gave me a RADIO:ACTIVE cd which in Malaysia is SUPER difficult to find and she also gave me a MCFLY CALENDAR AND RADIO:ACTIVE POSTER!! haha..AWESOME!!

We've been contacting each other through Facebook. Thank God for the internet cuz I lost her address..tee hee.. But, its great when we saw each other after so many years. During their last week here, I saw them a lot. They stayed at my house for 2 nights and on their last night they went back to Ujong Pasir. My another super duper cousin is Ai Jie!! She's 2 years younger than me and my goodness..she talks a lot..lol..just like me!! I get to see Ai Jie more often cuz she's living in Melaka.

The most memorable day that I had with my cousins was last Wednesday when we went bowling at Mahkota Parade. I havent even touched a bowling ball before and so yea..it was my first time. Ai Jie was the best bowler among all of us. Even my brother played. We had loads of fun together and I will definitely remember that particular day.

Now that Swee Lee and Finn and all my uncles and aunties have gone back, I begin to miss them. I miss the noise my brother and Finn made. I miss the times we had during the school holidays. All in all, I HEART MY ALL MY COUSIES!!

My Favourite Song - Smile

I am one huge fan of McFly. Why? Simple actually. They are SUPER talented, SUPER hot and SUPER awesome!! They're the best band I've ever listened to..and as you can see I'm also SUPER addicted to them XD

Here's the lyrics of my favourite song -Smile.. it makes me wana smile everytime I hear it.

You don't have to have money,
To make it in this world,
You don't have to be skinny baby,
If you wanna be my girl.

Oh you just gotta be happy,
But sometimes that's hard (sometimes that hard),
To just remember to,
Smile smile smile,
And that's a good enough start.

So if you ain't good looking,
Don't you let it get you down,
And if your love life ain't cookin' baby,
There'll be more fish around,

Oh you just gotta stay happy,
So put away that frown,
Just remember to,
Smile smile smile
To turn the world around.

Just remember to,
Smile smile smile
Smile smile smile
Smile smile smile
Come on and show us your teeth,
And what you got underneath.

Coz everyones got troubles,
But that's the way the story goes,
You don't need to get in trouble baby,
To see what's underneath your nose,

Oh coz if your feeling happy,
That's the place to let it show,
So just remember to,
Smile, smile, smile,
So everybody knows.

And it will make things so much better,
When your feeling low.

Just remember to,
Smile smile smile
Smile smile smile
Smile smile smile
Come on and show us your teeth,
And what you got underneath.

Smile smile smile
Smile smile smile
Smile smile smile
Come on and show us your teeth,
And what you got underneath.

Just remember to,
Smile smile smile
(Come on you gotta) smile smile smile
Smile smile smile
Come on and show us your teeth,
And what you got underneath.

Smile, smile, smile,
You gotta
Smile, smile, smile,
Just remember to
Smile, smile, smile,
To turn the world around.

* here's dozens of smileys to make your day..so, just remember to SMILE SMILE SMILE TO TURN THE WORLD AROUND!!

Of Deaths and Funerals

I still remember the time when I was still so young and my parents and I went to pick Aunty Pauline and Uncle Billy from KLIA. I was so small at that time and Uncle Billy picked me up into the air..=)

I was so shocked when my dad told me that Aunty Pauline passed away. I knew about the cancer but didnt expect her to leave so fast. The very last time I saw her was this year during Chinese New Year. On the last day  she was in Melaka, we went to visit her and Uncle Billy at Ujong Pasir to say goodbye. As we said our goodbyes and got into the car, tears started rolling down my cheeks. I was crying because I didnt know when I will see her again.

Weeks later, my dad told us that Aunty Pauline's treatment was going on fine, but after a few months, it seemed that the treatment was no longer suitable for her. The day when she wanted to fly to the UK, she had a relapse. Aunty Pauline passed away peacefully in Canada.

She was cremated and her ashes were brought back by Uncle Billy to Melaka to be buried at the Cheng Cemetery where my paternal and maternal grandparents were buried. Many arrangements were done and all my dad's siblings travelled across the globe to attend Aunty Pauline's funeral. Her funeral was on the 16th of August 2009 (Sunday). I will always remember that day. I still have the picture of her smiling for the camera when she was in the car the day we picked them up from the airport.

Uncle Choon Wah's funeral
During the holidays, my dad's eldest brother, Uncle Choon Wah passed away in Melaka's General Hospital. Before he had his Alzheimer's disease, I knew Uncle Choon Wah as a very jovial man. He was always laughing and never seen with a frown. When we visited him during Chinese New Year, he will tell us so many stories, most of the time about his daughter, my cousin Goh Ai Wai and how proud he was to be the father of the top student in Malaysia. He especially loved to play cards with my grandaunty during the Chinese New Year when they came over for New Year's Eve dinner. Uncle Choon Wah was cremated on the 30th of August.

Smiles and laughter of both Aunty Pauline and Uncle Choon Wah will be remembered always. We truly and deeply miss you both and you will always remain forever in our hearts

R.I.P Aunty Pauline and Uncle Choon Wah xxxx

2009 MGSS Photo Session (8/7/09)

Although my body is aching all over, effect of helping out during the photo session, I decided to write this as a remembrance of the wonderful and memorable day I had..

"Girls, on Wednesday all of you are going to help during the sesi mengambil gambar". That was what Mdm. Lim Ai Ling aka 4K1's English teacher aka "Miss MGSS" aka my mum said..lol

I was overjoyed because 1) Yay!! Dont need to study for half the day and 2) Double yay!! Dont need to study for half the day!!
All the 4K1 girls went down to the tapak perhimpunan at 7.45. We were split into groups and the sesi mengambil gambar started. It started with the teacher's, staf sokongan, librarians and prefects photos. Then it was 4K1's turn and later the classes, clubs, badan beruniform then sports houses.
It was hectic. Everybody running to and fro. Some were rushing to change into their respective uniforms. Most of the 4K1 girls were arranging the girls according to their height for each photograph. We were most of the time shouting at the girls to get them to listen to us. But knowing MGSS girls, they wont listen but they make the most noise..=)

One after another photo,we kept arranging the girls. Asking them to wear their uniform properly, tie their hair neatly and how to even sit! I was already sweating a lot.. I looked like I just came out from the shower..haha..luckily Emily brought her fan down. Thank goodness.. Today's weather was fine too.. Not too hot and thank God it didnt rain.

Anyway, we went for recess and although we were halfway through the session, my legs felt like they were gonna break in no time. Sadly, I ate quickly and went for my duty. Climbing up 3 flights of stairs made my legs wince more. After recess ended at 10.40, we went to the tapak perhimpunan to continue with the badan beruniform and sports houses photographs. So, it was back to work for all the 4K1 girls.

The teachers in charge, Mdm. Lim Ai Ling and Miss Tan Soh Yen announced through the PA system to inform the girls to come down if they were to have their photos taken. We finally ended the hectic day at 12.10. Quite punctual actually. The screaming and ordering the girls to change their places died down after recess. I think because the number of people per photo were less. There was one part of the photo session that made me laugh. When I was arranging a class to have their photo taken, I asked a girl to wear her necktie properly. Her hand was covering her nametag so I couldnt see her name. But when I asked her to wear her necktie properly, I called her by her name because I've heard of her name many times. She was quite shocked when I called her by her name and she asked her friends in Mandarin, "How come she knows my name wan?".. I was laughing. I was feeling like a mak kepoh who knows everybody's names..haha

After many hours of not sitting down, we finally dragged our feet to our class.. Luckily it was nearby.

The first thing everyone did when we reached the class was, drink water!! then sit down. Although we were tired, but our mouths weren't tired. So you can imagine the amount of noise we made.

Then later at 12.40 we went to the Biology lab. I came home and my feet were sore. My back hurt a little. Okay, maybe a lot! I rested and I slept like a log

All in all, although it was a very tiring, hectic, noisy day for me, I enjoyed myself while I was helping out during the photo session. Emily liked ordering the girls to change their places. It was a good experience and only these kind of experiences you can get in school. I loved spending time with my classmates the whole time during the sesi mengambil gambar. And last but not least, we didnt study for half a day!! Hurray!! So, I would like to thank 1) the teachers in charge 2) all 4K1 girls who helped out and 3) all tMGSS girls because they co-operated with us and this made our jobs way easier.

P/S I'll try to post some photos but first to all MGSS girls, please buy the photos when they are ready to be sold. You never know, mayb 40 years from now you'll be showing your grandchildren and children your old school photos and will be reflecting on what an enjoyable and memorable day 8 July 2009 was. I know I will!! So REMEMBER TO ORDER YOUR PHOTOS! (this is an advertisement for the school mag =)

Thank you and I'll sleep through the night tonight!!
